                                                       YOGA FOR ADULTS

The word is associated with meditative practices  in  Hinduism, Buddhism  and  Jainism. Among the ancestors of yoga, Tibetan yoga is unique for it's benefits. There  are certain similarities  in  terms  of  postures,  breathing,  etc. but if you look more closely,  Tibetan Yoga has a  holistic approach which is absent in other forms of yoga. The other types of yoga emphasize more on  postures, breathing  and  stretching. Tibetan  yoga,  however, seeks a complete and holistic balance  through the  combination  of  stretching,  intense aerobic  breathing  techniques,  concentration  and  contemplation techniques alongside ancient techniques of working with energy. There are many forms of Tibetan yoga called Trulkhor, all linked  to  different  Buddhist Tantric  texts. The  benefits  of  this  continued  practice  of yoga are both physical and mental, which produces emotional and energetic balance   and   thus   prevents   disease.

In  Padma Clinic  Yoga  classes  are  taught  by  skilled  yogis  qualified in Tibetan Yoga.

Each class allows a maximum of 5 students.

                                                         YOGA FOR CHILDREN

Yoga  for children increases flexibility and improves coordination.  It  improves  breathing capacity and helps  you  to have  awareness  of your body.  It also improves balance and enhances attention and memory. Above all, it helps to relax, which is especially useful for gifted children. Furthermore, if a child practices yoga, his/her  stimulation  and motivation will increase. Yoga can also contribute in fighting a child's night  terrors and  insomnia. In cases of school failure, it  has been found  that  yoga improves the child's performance in school,  as    it   helps  to  control   nervousness,   reduces   aggression   and    increases concentration.  In  its   practice,  the  child  acquires  knowledge    that  will  prove   useful throughout   his/her  life, which ranges from learning to breathe properly all the way   up to finding   the   necessary   amount   of   mental   balance  in  order  to  resolve  all  conflicts.
